Meet the Team

  • Dr. Preggie Naicker

    Clinical Lead Urgent Care services

    Dr Naicker completed his MB Ch B and Master in Family Medicine in South Africa in 1979. He worked as GP/Anesthetist for 22 years in SA before coming to NZ in 2001 as Anesthetist/ED doctor at Kaitaia Hospital. He transformed into the Urgent care physician completing his FRNZCUC in 2004. He has played an active role in the Royal Urgent care college in New Zealand. He enjoys training new doctors in Urgent Care medicine.

  • Dr Pranesh Kumar

    Dr Pranesh Kumar completed his medical degree in Mumbai, India. He also completed his surgical training in the United Kingdom, before moving locally with his wife and children. He has worked in several hospitals, where he has obtained vast spectrum surgical and orthopaedics skills and experience. He has worked for more than 10 years in primary care.

  • Dr Junaid Qureshi

    Dr Qureshi completed his MBBS from Lahore, Pakistan. He came to New Zealand in 2006. After completing several years at hospital Dr Qureshi followed his passion to work in primary care. Dr Qureshi is a trainee at Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care.

  • Dr Saville Marquis

    Saville was trained in India and moved to New Zealand in 2003. He is a Fellow of the NZ College of General Practitioners and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has a special interest in older people's health and family medicine. In his free time, he loves to travel, spend time with his family, and is passionate about cricket.

  • Dr Peter Cotter

    Peter came to NZ in 2005 after medical school in Aberdeen, Scotland. He spent most of his time rotating through the Auckland hospitals, before starting in urgent care. In 2022 he gained his Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care. His particular interests are with injuries, sports related or otherwise.

  • Dr Dean Foster

    Born and raised in Auckland.Lived in West Auckland for much of it. Graduated Auckland Medical School: 1993. Enjoyed further medical elective training in India and Africa. Did extra 2-3 years in the hospital for greater experience. G.P for about 30 years including at Māori and Pacific Island clinics. Dr. for resthomes for about 10 years. Special interests: minor surgery, sports medicine, dermatoscopy,general medicine, travel medicine.

    Married with three teens/early adult children. Social Interests: family, tramping, skiing, swimming, history, politics. etc.

    Statement: I enjoy working with patients to insure they have optimal health and wellbeing.

  • Dr Natasha Ilievska

    I am from Macedonia. I completed my medical training there before moving to New Zealand. I have worked as junior doctor in various specialities in Auckland, North Shore and Waitakere hospital, before moving to GP land. I finished my specialty training and became fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of GPs in 2023.

    I love all aspects of medicine, but my particular enthusiasm lies with Dermatology, Women’s health and Geriatrics.

    Outside of work, I like spending time with my family and travel the world

  • Dr Mike He

    Mike grew up in Auckland and completed his medical degree at The University of Auckland in 2014. Mike worked at various hospitals in the Waikato, Hawke's bay and the Manawatu before starting returning to Auckland to start General Practice in 2021. Mike has special interests in sports injuries, minor surgeries and lifestyle medicine. Outside of work you might be able to find Mike at the gym, outdoors, doing yoga, meditating, or reading a book.

  • Dr Nelson Tze Woei Khor

    Born and raised in Malaysia, he completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland in 2015. He worked at Waikato Hospital, where he gained experience in various specialties. During this period, he also completed a postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics. He subsequently began general practice training and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2023. In addition to general practice, he also spent time working in urgent care, dealing with acute medical conditions. Outside of work, he enjoy hiking , cooking and recently obtained open water diving certificate.

  • Adrianne Pimentel

    Graduated from the University of Auckland medical school before spending several years working in hospitals outside of Auckland namely Tauranga, Christchurch, Hamilton and Whakatane before eventually returning to the big city. Currently a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care, Dr Pimentel specialises in acute care injuries and acute illnesses. Hobbies include soccer/football, travel and the outdoors.  

  • Dr Nikeeta Manu Unka

    Nikeeta completed her medical degree at the University of Otago.

    She worked in Palmerston North Hospital in a wide range of specialties before moving to West Auckland to work as a General Practitioner.

    She is now a trainee of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and is enjoying meeting people from all walks of life in community care.

  • Dr Don Ponnamperuma

    I was born in Sri Lanka and moved to NZ in 1996. I graduated from University of Otago in 2011 with an MB ChB and worked in Christchurch Public Hospital, rotating through several medical and surgical rotations as a house officer and junior registrar. I then undertook GP training, gaining fellowship in 2021. I have a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine, having completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from University of Otago and more recently began specialist training in musculoskeletal medicine.

  • Dr Jasveen Kaur

    Obstetrician and Gynecologist (Specialist Rates apply)

    Jasveen is a Waimauku local. She now holds a permanent specialist position as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau District. She has a special interest in gynecology-oncology and is on the non-tertiary team looking after Counties women with gynecological cancers.

    She will be providing general gynaecology consultations and office procedures like IUD insertion, minor operations..

  • NP Katie Karena

    I'm Katie, Nurse Practitioner with a background in primary care since 2007, having worked across a range of medical centres. Before entering general practice, I gained valuable experience at Starship Hospital Neuroservices/endocrine department and Melbourne Neurosurgery. 

    I have a strong interest in all-age medicine, with particular passion for sexual health and women's health. I am committed to providing compassionate, holistic care to individuals and families across the lifespan. 

  • NP Sara Olley

    Sara is a Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in intensive care and acute care nursing. With over 30 years of experience, she has spent most of her career in hospital settings, supporting patients with complex and urgent health needs.

    In 2025, Sara stepped into a new role in Urgent Care, bringing her clinical knowledge and calm, compassionate presence to a broader community setting. She is passionate about working collaboratively to ensure people receive timely, thoughtful, and effective care.

    Originally from the UK, Sara moved to New Zealand in 2006 with her husband and two children. She enjoys running, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.

    Sara is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community.

  • Kathleen Kerr

    Practice Manager

    Kathleen has worked locally in Healthcare the last 10 years. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in managing a medical centre and its’ team, she has a substantial understanding of the services available within New Zealand Health , Te Whatu Ora. She is passionate about customer service and delivering and maintaining high standards of care and commitment to our patients. She and her family live in the local community. Previously Kathleen ran her own retail business in Kumeu.
